Penta Beats Laredo Kid On WWE Raw, Advances In #1 Contenders Tournament

Penta is moving on the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contenders tournament, defeating Laredo Kid on Monday’s WWE Raw in a first-round match. This week’s show featured the two facing off in the first match of the tournament, which consists of luchadores from WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown, and Triple A.

The match, which went just under 11 minutes, came to an end when Laredo Kid hit a Falcon Arrow and go up top, but he missed a moonsault. That allowed Penta to recover and he hit a Mexican Destroyer for the pinfall victory.

You can see a clip from the finish of the match below. Penta will face the winner between Psycho Clown and La Parka in the semifinals.
