Update On Possibility Of Nick Aldis Wrestling Again After WWE SummerSlam

Nick Aldis made his return to the ring at WWE SummerSlam, and a new report says that it might not have been for the final time. The WWE Smackdown General Manager wrestled his first match in WWE at SummerSlam, when he battled and lost to Gunther on night one of the PLE.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Aldis’ match against Gunther may not be his last time competing in a WWE ring. The site notes that it is internally believed that Aldis will compete again for the company. However, a source noted that it may not happen until next year.

The source went on to note that several people backstage believe Aldis is as talented, if not more, as several of WWE’s regular TV performers and want to see him have a significant in-ring run with the company.

Nick Aldis has been the General Manager of Smackdown since he debuted on WWE TV in October of 2023. He also works as a producer backstage for the company.
