Backstage Update on Possibility of 2K Partnering With AEW If WWE Opts Against Renewing the Deal in Future

In the latest edition of Fightful’s Q&A session, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp about 2K potentially joining forces with AEW if WWE decided against renewing the deal once it expires.

Ross stated that he doesn’t expect 2K to partner with All Elite Wrestling due to contrasting methods employed by the concerned parties when it comes to gaming. According to him, AEW’s approach is to produce one great game that lasts years, while 2K focuses on producing games yearly.

Sapp said that 2K would have to bear significant production costs of the game if it partners with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW reportedly lost at least $30 million due to production delays and underwhelming sales of its Fight Forever video game, which was launched in June 2023.
