QT Marshall Pushes Back Against Eric Bischoff’s Criticism Over Steven Borden Injury At AEW All Out

QT Marshall posted a defense of AEW after Eric Bischoff criticized the company over Steven Borden getting hurt at AEW All Out. As noted earlier, Bischoff spoke about Borden suffering an injury in his match alongside Darby Allin against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight at the PPV. Borden did a springboard dropkick and landed hard on the mat, resulting in his being stretchered out and the match being stopped.
Bischoff said on his podcast that Borden “shouldn’t be wrestling on TV yet” and that he needed to have time to get experience and develop confidence in the ring. A fan posted to Twitter to ask if he said the same thing about his son Garrett when he competed in TNA. Bischoff replied:
“Garett spent 3 years training, and worked as referee before ever having a match”
Marshall posted to respond to Bischoff, resharing the latter’s post and writing:
“Not sure of the context but Steven has been training since 2024. Did a camp with us and then trained with Darby/NJPW Dojo. Did independents and dark matches. Just because he’s not publicly documenting his training/every event he works on, doesn’t mean he’s not putting in work.”
Tony Schiavone gave an update on Borden last week, noting Borden “was fine. He had no headaches. He had no dizziness. As far as a diagnosis is concerned, that has to come from our doctor because I’m not—I can’t make that. But I can tell you, by talking to him, he said, ‘I’m fine.’”
