– Randy Orton’s tattoo artist is suing WWE and 2K games for allegedly using her designs without proper permission. TMZ reports that Catherine Alexander, who is a tattoo artist from Illinois, filed suit against the companies claiming copyright infringement over their use of the tattoos in WWE 2K18 and other games.
Alexander says that she owns the copyrights to the designs in the game, namely the tribal ink on Orton’s upper back and his full sleeve. She alleges that when she told WWE about the issue in 2009, the company offered her $450 for the rights and she declined.
This is the second time a 2K game has been sued over tattoos. LeBron James’ tattoo artist sued the company last year for a similar claim.
