Ratings Breakdown For This Week’s Episode of AEW Dynamite

As previously reported, Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was back up over a million viewers and also went up in the key 18-49 rating. The episode had 1.046 million viewers and a 0.41 (530,000 viewers) in 18-49. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has a more detailed look at the numbers, including a look at each individual quarter-hour. The show also drew a 0.30 in 18-34.

The show was #3 for the night behind two NBA games on ESPN. A game between the Lakers and the 76ers started at 10:09 PM, so wasn’t against Dynamite. It drew 1,524,000 viewers and a 0.52. The game between the Nets and the Grizzlies that went head-to-head drew 1,404,000 viewers and a 0.49. The NIT tournament game on ESPN 2 drew 765,000 viewers and an 0.14 rating.

Dynamite was #6 in women 18-49, #3 in men 18-49 (behind NBA), #3 in 18-34 (behind NBA), #4 in men 12-34 and tied for #1 in women 12-34 (which hasn’t happened before). The increase came from 18-34. Dynamite was still behind RAW in every category but women 18-34, which is something that also hasn’t happened. Overall, it was up 5.3% in viewers from last week, up 6.4% in 18-49 and up 22.5% in 18-34. Compared to last year, it was up 38.2% in viewers, 38% in 18-49 and 133% in 18-34. The show was still competing with NXT last year.

Dynamite had 118,000 viewers in men 18-34 (up 18%), 94,000 in women 18-34 (up 28.8%), 242,000 in men 35-49 (down 2.0%) and 76,000 in women 35-49 (down 2.6%). The audience was 67.9% male in 18-49. The show did an 0.18 in 12-17 (up 5.9%), 0.30 in 18-34 (up 22.5%), 0.52 in 35-49 (down 2.2%) and 0.42 in 50+ (up 10.5%).

The show had a million viewers for every quarter except Q8. Q1 was the best performing quarter in viewers, 18-49, women 18-49, 18-34, men 18-34, women 18-34, 35-49 and women 35-49. Q2 was the high point in men 18-49 and men 35-49.
