WWE appears to have a creative direction in place for Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, even though both stars were noticeably absent from the high-profile battle royal on RAW this week. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision was intentional.

Dave Meltzer believed that WWE is keeping Breakker and Reed “strong.” The company reportedly wants to preserve their momentum by keeping them out of multi-man matches that could weaken their individual star power. Instead, WWE aims to highlight their dominance through focused storytelling, building them into future main event attractions.

Meltzer also noted that the previous plan was for Breakker and Reed to win the Tag Team Titles and elevate those belts by having them face the company’s top faces in tag team matches. While it remains to be seen if WWE still plans to do that, Meltzer noted that Bron Breakker is expected to eventually end up as the World Heavyweight Champion. However, since the match for the World Heavyweight Title will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which is a Peacock exclusive and likely won’t draw big viewing numbers, it was decided not to be the time or the place for Breakker to win the belt. Since he wasn’t going to win then, WWE opted to keep him out of the battle royal since there was no reason to put him in just to get eliminated.

CM Punk and Jey Uso will fight for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at SNME on November 1 after Uso won the aforementioned battle royal on RAW.
