Rey Mysterio Revealed As New AAA General Manager

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has been announced as the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide General Manager.
As previously reported, AAA President Marisela Pena announced a few weeks ago that a new authority figure would be announced on Saturday, May 23.
Tonight’s show kicked off with the announcement, with Marisela noting in the presence of AAA legends, current roster members, and her son, Dorian Roldán, that the new AAA GM is a “visionary” who will usher the promotion into a new era.
To the delight of the audience, Rey Mysterio’s music hit, and the lucha libre legend came out to a massive reception. The former WWE World Champion was greeted by talent, AAA legends, and, finally, Marisela Pena.
We also got to see Dominik Mysterio’s reaction backstage, and he predictably wasn’t pleased. Meanwhile, in the ring, Rey got on the microphone and noted how it was a full-circle moment for him, as this was the same venue where he started his career all those years ago.
He thanked fans for their support and promised he would take the company to another level.
