Rey Mysterio Confirms He’s Heading Saudi Arabia Following Injury Scare On WWE Raw

Rey Mysterio has confirmed that his injury scare on this week’s WWE Raw isn’t keeping him from heading to Saudi Arabia for the Royal Rumble. As reported last night, Mysterio had to be helped to the back following his match with Austin Theory on Monday’s episode of Raw. He was not a major part of the post-match beatdown by The Vision out of concern for potential injury. However, it was noted on Tuesday afternoon that the WWE Hall of Famer’s injury was not believed to be serious and that he was still planned for the men’s Rumble match.
Mysterio has now more or less confirmed that news, as he posted a photo to his Instagram account of himself, Dragon Lee, and Penta on the plan heading to the country. You can see the full post below.
Mysterio is among those announced for the men’s Rumble match alongside Penta and Lee. Also announced for the bout are Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, Je’Von Evans, and Oba Femi, with 15 more names yet to be revealed.
The WWE Royal Rumble takes place on Saturday from KAFD in Riyadh. The show airs live on the ESPN App and Netflix internationally. 411 will of course have live coverage of the PLE.
