In a bizarre turn of events, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is claiming he wasn’t invited to WrestleMania 42 this year, stemming from an incident with Ludwig Kaiser that took place last year. At the time, Kaiser’s former girlfriend, Tiffany Stratton, was feuding with Charlotte Flair over the WWE Women’s Title on SmackDown. During a visit on The Ariel Helwani Show today, Flair claimed he threatened to beat Kaiser up over Kaiser’s response to remarks by Charlotte on SmackDown, and that Kaiser told on him to WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Below are some highlights:

Ric Flair on Not Getting Invited to WrestleMania 42

“I know what I’ve accomplished. I know what I’ve done. I feel like — and I do feel this way– that I should have a red carpet wherever I go, and I’m not afraid to tell you that. I didn’t get invited to WrestleMania this year. I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s husband last year. I wasn’t allowed to go. A 24-year-old kid being threatened by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go to WrestleMania? Are you kidding me? That English kid. He’s going to go as far in wrestling as a gnat. He’ll be a fly on the wall in a year.”

On What Happened With Ludwig Kaiser

“They had that thing where Tiffany made smart remarks about Ashley’s [Charlotte Flair] divorces, which we both know she’s not smart enough to have written. Somebody gave her the script. And then he implied that — you know, I’m just going based off social media, once again, which is a lot, that he was implying that he wouldn’t ‘bum one off Ashley.’ And then I went, ‘Okay, I need your number,’ and I got it, because I can get anyone’s number that I want any minute of any day, and I called him and said, ‘Hey, when I see you, I’m going to beat the **** out of you.’ He went like a little *****, told Hunter, and I wasn’t allowed to go. He’s going to really go far in the business. A 76-year-old man tells a 24-year-old kid that he’s going to kick his ***, and where is he now? Is he even on the roster? [Helwani asks, ‘Is this Ludwig Kaiser?’] Yeah, little punk.”

Ric Flair on Why He Feels He’s Owed a Red Carpet to Any WWE Show

“If you were behind the lines, like even though I’m not there, I know everything because I know everybody. There should be a red carpet for me, a red carpet to the front row, and that’s how I feel about it. With my contributions to this business and the work that I’ve put in, hours, and hours, and hours of trying to make wrestling something that it is today, and I’ve got to have problems with politics?! Give me a break! Come on. I mean, I’m not mad at anybody. I understand it’s politics now. It’s too much politics and not enough wrestling.”

It should be noted that Ludwig Kaiser is German, not English. Also, he’s 35 years old, not 24. Last year, it was reported that Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton went “off-script” during their promo segment on an April 4, 2025 episode of SmackDown.

During the promo segment, Stratton said that Charlotte is 0-3 in marriages after her divorce from Andrade. Charlotte Flair then fired back with a remark about Ludwig Kaiser, saying that he’s sending her private messages. Kaiser later took to social media to respond to Charlotte’s claim with a clip of Shawn Michaels telling Diana Hart-Smith, “Please do not flatter yourself.”

Kaiser and Stratton were never married, and the two are no longer dating. The wrestler is said to currently be in a relationship with AAA ring announcer Andrea Bazarte. Additionally, Kaiser primarily wrestles in WWE-owned AAA at the moment as El Grande Americano II.

At WrestleMania 41: Night 1, Tiffany Stratton defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women’s Title. Charlotte won the women’s Royal Rumble that year in her return match to earn a shot at the title.
