Ric Flair Issues Apology For Missing Event Appearance

Ric Flair has issued a curious apology for missing today’s event appearance due to a scheduling conflict. The WWE Hall of Famer was scheduled for the Cigars & Connections networking event for Hurricane IT Solutions in Lithia, Florida. The listing shows Flair as advertised to appear and takes place today from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Flair posted to his Twitter and Facebook accounts on Wednesday morning to note that he will be missing the event due to an “overlapping commitment” in New York. Of note, the post does not have Flair’s typical habit of capitalizing every word, which he famously does on both social media accounts. It also describes the event as having taken place “this past week.”

Flair wrote:

“I want to take a moment to publicly apologize to the Hurricane IT Solutions team and to a good friend of mine Tyler Disney for missing Cigars and Connections this past week. Unfortunately, I had a scheduling conflict I couldn’t avoid. An overlapping commitment took me to New York during the exact window of the event. It wasn’t for lack of wanting to be there. Hurricane IT has built something I’m proud to be part of! We will do business soon!”

There is no word at this time as to why the post is different from Flair’s usual posts.
