Ric Flair went off on Stevie Richards and Dutch Mantel in his recent interview with Ariel Helwani over criticism they’ve levied his way. The odd aside took place during Flair’s appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show while he was discussing his relationship with Triple H.

Flair, who has long been friends with Triple H, said that the WWE CCO tends to be very busy and thus their friendship isn’t the same as it used to be. He then turned his attention to Richards and Mantel, who have both discussed Flair’s rant when he found out he’d lost his deal with Roots of Fight. Flair took shots at both men and then started talking about his own relevancy including a phone call he took from Donald Trump over WrestleMania weekend. You can see the highlights below:

On His Relationship With Triple H:

“Well, it’s good. I mean, we exchange pleasantries, but it here’s the deal with Triple H. He did so much for me. He did so much for me after Bischoff destroyed me. And when he brought me into the company — which he did, I think more than Vince did — we did Evolution, restored my confidence. Because Bischoff had completely killed me. So I can’t get mad at him. Our relationship is not the same, but he has a lot on his plate. It’s running the WWE and being in charge of this and that and constantly being scrutinized.”

On His Issues With Stevie Richards and Dutch Mantel:

“I mean, if I look at my page, I get nothing. I get I get punks like f**king Stevie — what’s his name? Stevie Richards and Zeb Colter, whatever his name is… For a guy that has suffered serious health problems — not as serious as mine — I would keep my mouth shut. Because if you don’t have a legacy, you can’t talk about a legacy…

I’ll tell you a great story, you’ll love it. We’re in Marietta, Georgia. And Lex Luger used to always speak of himself in the third person. And he looked at Jack Mulligan, who was the agent, and he goes, ‘Why would a Lex Luger wrestle a… Dutch Mantel?’ And now I understand why Luger said it. Who in the f**k is Dutch Mantel? A fuzzball with serious health problems that should mind his own business. And Stevie Richards, my little finger is bigger than his neck.”

On Whether Their Talk About Him Bothers Him:

“No, it doesn’t bother me. I laugh at it. How could it bother me? Who are they? You got to be — I was just in Vegas and I just talked to Donald Trump on the phone, myself. Do I give a s**t about those guys? They don’t even have Donald’s number. [chuckles] And I can call Charles Barkley, I can call Shaq. I can call — somebody famous. I can call Mark Wahlberg. I mean, I can call anybody because I’ve earned their respect. Darius Rucker, Kid Rock, Snoop Dog. I have all their numbers right here on speed dial.

“These guys don’t know anything, and don’t know s**t. But the only way they make a dime — and I’m sure it’s a minimal amount of money — is by cracking on people that are successful. And the older you get, and the more successful you stay, and the more relevant you say, the more jealous they get.”
