Ronda Rousey on Cain Velasquez Situation: ‘I Would Have Done the Same Thing If Not Worse’
– As noted, former WWE Superstar and UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is facing charges after an alleged shooting of a man related to another man who was recently charged with the molestation of one of Velasquez’s family members. Earlier today, Ronda Rousey, a former MMA fighter and UFC champion herself, also commented on the situation.
Rousey tweeted today, “I would have done the same thing if not worse #freeCainVelasquez” #FreeCainVelasquez has been the hashtag for many fans tweeting their support for Velasquez through this situation.
Ronda Rousey and husband, former UFC fighter Travis Browne, welcomed their first child together last September. She is also stepmother to two of Browne’s other children from an earlier marriage. She is currently slated to challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38 Night 1 on Saturday, April 1 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Velasquez is currently facing charges of attempted, premeditated murder, and other related charges. He was arraigned earlier today.
