Rush Comments on His AEW Return: ‘Maybe Next Year’

As previously reported, there’s been speculation about the status of AEW wrestler Rush amid his absence from TV. Rush has since commented on his return status earlier today via social media.
A user on X directly asked the wrestler, “Rush, when are you coming back to AEW?” He later responded, “Maybe next year.” Additionally, when another user wrote that “Rush is cooked,” he responded, “RUSH is cooked? 🤣 I pay attention to the fanbase that wants to see me wrestle, I engage with my awaiting fans. I do want to wrestle for you all. BUT, don’t say I’m on Twitter complaining; I don’t complain, I am the happiest man in the world spending time with my family, PERRO.”
The 38-year-old wrestler is a former two-time ROH World Champion and a former ROH World Tag Team Champion with Sammy Guevara. He last wrestled on the July 1 edition of AEW Collision, where he beat Jordan Cruz, over three months ago.
Last month, he addressed speculation about his physical health and status, denying that he was injured. He said at the time, “I do everything possible to be at my best and READY for any opportunity. Do not believe false narratives; EL TORO BLANCO is healthy and ready always, Monday to Monday. And REMEMBER…if you mess with the bull.”
It’s currently unknown when Rush will be making his AEW or ROH TV return.
