The two-year WWE non-compete clause of Samantha Irvin is reportedly set to expire in October 2026. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Irvin’s clause covers 24 months. The report did not indicate that she plans to join another wrestling promotion once it expires.

Irvin left WWE in October 2024 after working as one of the company’s most well-known ring announcers. Since then, she has focused on her music career rather than joining another wrestling promotion. Her non-compete arrangement reportedly differed from the restrictions usually attached to WWE talent contracts.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Irvin worked under an employment agreement rather than the talent contracts typically used for WWE wrestlers. The agreement allowed her to resign with two weeks’ notice at any time. However, leaving before completing the three-year contract reportedly activated a 24-month non-compete period.

That differs from the standard restrictions following WWE talent releases. NXT contracts generally carry a 30-day non-compete, while main roster contracts typically include a 90-day non-compete. Those are also paid periods under standard WWE talent agreements. Wrestling Observer Newsletter further noted that employee agreements do not provide the same paid non-compete period when a worker is let go.

Once the restriction expires, she could legally accept work with another wrestling promotion. Renee Paquette previously moved to AEW after her WWE non-compete period ended. Irvin, however, has not been publicly linked to a wrestling role with another company.
