WWE Superstar Sami Zayn is now a two-time WWE Undisputed Champion. At last Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated CM Punk to regain the title, and Zayn is now celebrating his victory on social media.
Zayn wrote on his X account earlier this morning, “I AM THE WWE CHAMPION AGAIN!” He also wrote in the caption of a new Instagram Reel, “RIDE OR DIES REJOICE, JUSTICE AT LAST! TWO TIME WWE CHAMPION!”
The finish for the recent title bout was chaotic. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae caused a distraction while Punk had Zayn in the Anaconda Vice, and Gargano attempted to hit Punk with the title belt. Punk then hit Gargano with the Go 2 Sleep.
Zayn then attempted to hit Punk with the title. However, Kevin Owens came into the ring to stop him, and Owens attempted to hit Punk with the title. Unfortunately, he ended up hitting Punk with the belt.
After that, Zayn hit Owens with a low blow followed by a Helluva Kick to Punk to secure the pinfall and title. Zayn ended Punk’s title run at 64 days. Punk previously defeated Zayn to win the title back at WWE Raw in Chicago in July.
