Former WWE Star Sanga Arrested in India for Alleged Sexual Exploitation

Saurav Gurjar, a man who worked under the name “Sanga” during his WWE stint from 2018 to 2024, was arrested at the Mumbai airport on September 17 for alleged sexual exploitation. After meeting with a magistrate, he has been put in judicial custody for 14 days. While already married, Gurjar allegedly carried on a relationship with a woman he met on Instagram in 2021.

The Hindustan Times reports that a 29 year old woman reported Gurjar met her on Christmas 2021 and they continued their relationship between the United States & India. Gurjar allegedly told the woman that he planned to settle down with her, but would cut off communication any time the topic of marriage came up.

“During the course of our relationship, the accused disclosed that he was already married. He repeatedly promised to give me wife-like rights and eventually settle down with me. He used to block me on the phone/social media and disappear without any prior information. I suffered mental harassment, emotional distress and financial loss, including losing my job after I left my employment in the US to stay with him.”

The woman claims that they lived together from October 2025 to March 2026 before he cut off all communication.

Gurjar was part of the tag team Indus Sher with Veer Mahan during his time with WWE.
