Santino Marella Officially Re-Signs With TNA Wrestling

Santino Marella is staying in TNA Wrestling. As initially reported by The Johnny I Pro Show, TNA announced today that Santino Marella re-signed with the promotion to stay on board as the Director of Authority.

Marella has served in the Director of Authority role for almost four years, appearing onscreen and against his real-life daughter, WWE NXT Superstar Arianna Grace. He’s also been embroiled in a power struggle against TNA’s Director of Operations Daria Rae (aka Sonya Deville).

Marella is also a former WWE Superstar, debuting on the roster in April 2007. He remained with the promotion until May 2016, when he was released. During his WWE run, he became a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a United States Champion, and a WWE Tag Team Champion with Vladimir Kozlov. In 2009, he also won the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal at WrestleMania 25, posing as “Santina Marella.”
