Santos Escobar Shares Hospital Pic, Says He’ll ‘Be Back’

Santos Escobar is undergoing surgery today for his tricep injury, and he posted a pic from the hospital vowing to be back. As noted, the WWE star confirmed that he is out of action after he aggravated an injury working AAA Rey de Reyes. It had been reported that Escobar had hurt his tricep on the January 30th NXT live event against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., then aggravated it into a full tear at Saturday’s AAA event.
Escobar posted to his Instagram account on Thursday to share a pic of his hand from the hospital bed. He captioned the post simply:
“I’ll be back.”
In a promo posted to AAA’s social media accounts from after Rey de Reyes, Escobar put the blame on Wagner Jr. and said he would be out for “months.” He vowed that when he returns, he was coming for not just for Wagner Jr.’s AAA Latin American Championship, but what he values most in his mask.
