Scott D’Amore isn’t likely to end up at another wrestling company soon, as he is reportedly still being paid by TNA until early next year. As reported, D’Amore’s TNA contract was terminated in February. There has been a lot of speculation about D’Amore potentially coming to work for another company, but Rhino recently revealed that D’Amore is being paid by the company through next February.
Rhino said during a K&S Wrestlefest signing (per PWInsider), “I read online [AEW] should get Scott D’Amore to run Ring of Honor. It would ease the burden on some of the talent but, Scott’s at home getting paid for…I think until next February, and he’s never not worked, you know? Or never gotten paid to not work.”
PWInsider notes that they’ve asked around and found that Rhino’s comments are accurate, and that D’Amore is believed to have a non-compete clause preventing him from working for a national wrestling promotion in the US or Canada through February 2025.
As noted last month, D’Amore’s Border City Wrestling will run its first event since his exit from TNA this coming weekend.
