Pro Wrestling NOAH has a new GHC Heavyweight Champion. Former WWE Superstar Shane Haste defeated Yoshiki Inamura at today’s Spring Mayhem Ryogoku 2026 event. The show was held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Japan.

This is the first singles title win for Haste in 15 years in his career. He’s previously competed in NJPW, where he held the IWGP Tag Team Championships and the Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships with Mikey Nicholls. He’s also competed in WWE, NXT, and ROH.

Inamura’s title reign ends at 175 days, and it was his first run as GHC Heavyweight Champion. After the match, Shane Haste spoke about making his dream come true. He then thanked TMDK and White Raven Squad.

Then, after the match, Haste declared that he wants to face stablemate, KENTA, for the GHC Title. Haste explained that he wants to beat KENTA, holding the title much like KENTA did 13 years ago. Haste told KENTA, “What do you say? One more time, old man?!” Kenta took Haste’s hand, accepting the challenge.

KENTA then stated, “Congrats, Shane. I’m happy for you. This is your time.” So it looks like a rematch 13 years in the making is on between Shane Haste and KENTA for the GHC Heavyweight Championship.
