Sheamus Updates Social Media Accounts, Removes References to WWE

As previously reported, former WWE Champion Sheamus will be exiting WWE once his current contract expires, and it’s said to be soon. In light of his pending WWE exit, Sheamus has removed mentions and references to WWE from his social media accounts.

Sheamus’ X account name has now been updated to reference his real name (see below), Stephen Farrelly, with it now being titled “S. Farrelly.” He’s also done the same with his Instagram account.

He last posted on his X account on July 2, showing a meme image of the Russian couple who climbed the Empire State Building, with the flag reading, “Give Sheamus the IC Title!”

The 48-year-old wrestler reportedly turned down an offer for a “restructured” WWE contract, and it’s said that he wasn’t released. The exact date of his current contract expiration is still unknown, but it’s expected to happen soon.
