Shotzi Blackheart Says She’s Having Fun On Indie Scene, Teases Call-Out of Dakota Kai

Shotzi Blackheart says she’s having a lot of fun on the independent scene, and suggested she may want a match with Dakota Kai. The WWE alumna returned to the indies after her WWE contract was not renewed last May. Since then, she’s made her own claim to Matt Cardona’s “Indie God” title and captured some gold, including the HOG Women’s Championship.

Blackheart spoke with Muscle Man Malcolm after her title defense at HOG Winter Warfare. She teased calling out a talent to defend the title against, not naming them specifically. However, the signs point to Kai, who is now competing as Charlie and will be in action at EVE Wrestle Queendom in March. You can see highlights from Blackheart’s cmments below:

“Oooh. I mean, there’s a certain someone who I saw just started taking indie bookings. I think you know who you are. I see you’re going to the UK soon, but maybe you want to come to House of Glory, if you know what I’m talking about. But that’s just a little hint-hint wink-wink, if you know what I mean… She’s really good at kicking.”

On Being Back On the Indy Scene After WWE:

“I just love being in control of what I can do, and how much I work, and how creative I can be. Working with WWE was great, and it was a fun time. But I love being able to use my creativity to its absolute fullest. Whether it’s painting a belt green or cutting really awesome promos with my friends and just showing up wherever I want to. It’s just been like the funnest time of my life, honestly.”
