Showbuzz Daily has the overnight ratings for last night’s episode of SmackDown on FOX. As noted, last night’s show featured Universal champion Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan in a title match, where as a result of losing, Daniel Bryan is now gone from SmackDown.

The overnight audience for last night’s show fell below two million viewers. The FOX Network broadcast averaged 1.923 million viewers for Friday night. That’s based off of 1.875 million viewers for Hour 1 and 1.971 million viewers for Hour 2.

That’s down from the final viewing audience of 2.121 million viewers for last week’s show. For comparison, the overnight audience for last week’s SmackDown was 2.042 million viewers, so the overnight number was still able to barely hover over two million viewers.

In the P18-49 key demo rating, SmackDown averaged a 0.5 over its two-hour broadcast. That’s slightly down from the final rating of 0.54 in the key demo for the April 23 episode. However, it’s identical to the overnight number for the same episode.

Some good news is that in the key ratings demo, SmackDown did manage to come in first place, tying with the first hour of the 2021 NFL Draft, which also drew a 0.5 rating in the key demo.

Blue Bloods topped the viewership for Friday night with 6.154 million viewers.
