Details On Planned Smackdown Matches For Wrestlemania For John Cena, AJ Styles And Others

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about R-Truth’s promo on Smackdown in which he called John Cena his “hero” and brought up a rumor that had been circulating online. The rumor suggested that John Cena vs. R-Truth was being planned for Wrestlemania, which is “absolutely not” going to happen.

He then said that while he couldn’t get an answer on who Cena’s opponent will be, he believes that it will be the new US champion Samoa Joe. Meanwhile, he also suggested that Randy Orton will face AJ Styles at the same event. He noted that Orton vs. Styles was not added to Fastlane, so it will likely be saved for Wrestlemania. However, he reiterated that this is not confirmed, just what he got from watching the broadcast. The only confirmed news is that Cena will not be wrestling Truth at the event.
