Sol Ruca is no longer the WWE Women’s Speed Championship, giving up the title on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show saw Ruca appear in a backstage segment with Zaria and Ava. During the segment, Ava noted that Ruca is making progress in her recovery from the injury she suffered on WWE Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. However, she noted that Ruca is still not cleared.
Ava asked Ruca about her Women’s Speed Championship and whether she wanted someone to defend it for her. Ruca looked at Zaria, who lost Ruca’s Women’s North American Title at Halloween Havoc. She looked back at Ava and said she would give the title up and focus on her recovery. Zaria looked upset and exited the room. Ava then announced that a tournament to crown a new Speed Women’s Champion will kick off next week on NXT.
Ruca’s Women’s Speed Championship reign ends at 196 days. She won the title from Candice LeRae on the April 11th, 2025 episode of WWE Speed. She carried the title over to WWE NXT when Speed was ended in August
