Spoiler Notes For AEW Redemption: Main Event, Possible Appearances

A new report has some spoilery notes for tonight’s episode of AEW Redemption including the main event, who isn’t planned to appear and more. The show is currently taking place airing live on PPV, and Fightful Select has some pre-show notes for tonight’s show.

The site reports that, as you might expect, Kenny Omega’s AEW World Title defense against Kevin Knight is planned to be the main event match. As had been previously reported, the original plan was Omega winning the title from MJF, a match which instead happened at the Beach Break episode of Dynamite.

There have been a number of speculated appearances at tonight’s show, most notably The New Day. Fightful Select reports that while the group is expected to join AEW, sources indicate that they are not planned for tonight’s show and their WWE deals are not technically up as of now. There is also no word of MJF being planned for the show.

The report notes that some talent not advertised for Redemption are in town for the show and some are expected to appear.

While they are not advertised for Redemption, the site notes that there is creative planned for both Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland heading into All In. No word on if either of them will be on tonight’s show.

Finally, several talent in the company are hoping that the earlier start time for Redemption sticks for AEW PPVs.
