Starboy Charlie Wins WWE ID Title At Wrestling Open RI, Earns Contract

Starboy Charlie is the new WWE ID Champion, capturing the title and earning an ID contract at Wrestling Open RI. The WWE ID Twitter account shared a pic of the new champion with his title and contract on Monday evening, announcing that he defeated Cappuccino Jones at Monday’s show in Cranston, Rhode Island.

The post reads:

Charlie is in his first reign as the champion. Cappuccino Jones was the inaugural men’s WWE ID Champion, having won the title at the GCW ID Showcase on August 1st, 2025. He defeated Jack Cartwheel in a tournament final and his title reign went 234 days.

It was reported earlier today that Charlie was expected to be offered a WWE ID contract whether he won the title or not.
