Steel Cage Title Match & More Added to Next Week’s WWE NXT

WWE has added a Women’s North American Championship steel cage match, a Booker T appreciation theme and more to next week’s WWE NXT. It was announced on Tuesday night’s episode of NXT that Izzi Dame will get her rematch against Tatum Paxley for the Women’s North American Title inside a steel cage on next week’s show in Houston, Texas. The match was set up in the opening segment where Dame came out to interrupt Paxley, mocking her as fake and demanding a rematch. Paxley went hunting for Dame throughout the show and they ended up brawling in the back before Robert Stone made the match.

Another title match was set on tonight’s show for next week, as Wren Sinclair beat Thea Hail in the finals of a #1 contenders tournament to earn a shot at Fallon Henley’s WWE Speed Women’s Championship. Those bouts join the previously announced NXT Women’s Championship match pitting Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, and Zaria against each other.

In addition, Vic Joseph announced before the main event that next week’s show will be an appreciation night for his fellow NXT announcer.

Finally, two tag matches were announced. A tournament will kick off to determine new #1 contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships as Hank & Tank will face two members of Birthright. And Vanity Project will face El Grando Americano, Rayo and Bravo in six-man tag team action.

Next week’s episode of NXT takes place from 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas and airs live on The CW and Netflix internationally. The card is:
