Tessa Blanchard Reportedly Granted Her Release From TNA Wrestling

It looks like another world champion is leaving TNA Wrestling. Fightful Select reports that former Impact World Champion and Knockouts World Champion, Tessa Blanchard, has been released from the promotion.
Sources close to Blanchard said the wrestler left TNA, claiming that she asked for her release, which TNA granted. It’s currently unknown why she opted to exit the company.
The 30-year-old wrestler made a shocking return to TNA in December 2024. Despite her TNA exit, her status with CMLL reportedly isn’t changing. Sources within TNA did not immediately respond to Fightful’s request for confirmation regarding the news.
Earlier this month, Dave Meltzer reported in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that TNA wasn’t happy about Blanchard appearing in CMLL, not wanting their TV talents working in CMLL. CMLL also works as a promotional partner with TNA’s rival AEW.
It’s unknown if TNA’s unhappiness with Tessa Blanchard regularly appearing in CMLL had anything to do with her exit. She previously departed from TNA (formerly Impact Wrestling) in 2020 when she was Impact World Champion. She was on a leave of absence at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Impact Wrestling officials subsequently terminated her contract before its expiration and also stripped her of the title.
