During this week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Tessa Blanchard is being caught in the crossfire of an inter-promotional war. It’s said that TNA Wrestling isn’t happy that one of their prominent talents, who appears regularly in CMLL, and TNA reportedly doesn’t want their TV talents working for CMLL.
Blanchard has been appearing fairly regularly in CMLL over the last six months. She made her return to TNA Wrestling in December 2024. However, CMLL is also a promotional partner with AEW, a rival promotion to TNA.
The Newsletter also mentions that it was noted how Blanchard wrestled Persephone, who is under a dual contract with both AEW and CMLL, during WrestleMania Week in Las Vegas at the CMLL At Palms Slam Fest. Fans will recall that around that time, TNA started instituting a policy where its talents could not face AEW wrestlers at indie wrestling shows.
Additionally, the report notes that pressure is being put on Blanchard over the issue. Blanchard last wrestled for TNA on the May 28 edition of iMPACT!, where she defeated Harley Hudson.
