Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI Win GHC Tag Team Titles at Pro Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2026

During today’s Pro Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2026 event, Tetsuya Naito was revealed as BUSHI’s mystery tag team partner for a GHC Tag Team Championship match against Naomichi Marufuji and KENOH. Naito and Bushi then defeated the champs to win the titles.

This is the first time BUSHI and Naito have ever held a title in Pro Wrestling NOAH in their careers. After the match, Naito admitted in his post-match press conference that he and Bushi don’t really have a plan as champions. He stated, “Hmm… what should I do? I don’t really have a plan right now. Maybe the first name that comes to mind tomorrow will be the next challengers.

Naito continued, “I’d like to introduce someone. A new protege — RYUSEI.” Naito then introduced RYUSEI, the newest member of Los Tranquilos de Japon.

As previously reported, the 43-year-old Tetsuya Naito exited NJPW last year. He’d been a part of the promotion since 2006. During his tenure there, Naito won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title, the IWGP Heavyweight Title, the IWGP Intercontinental Title, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, the IWGP Tag Team Titles, and the NEVER Openweight Title. He also won the G1 Climax Tournament in 2013, 2017, and 2023.
