The Rock Appears On WWE Smackdown, Takes Out Austin Theory

The Rock made his return to WWE Smackdown tonight and traded barbs (and blows) with Austin Theory. The WWE and film star made his first appearance on WWE TV in quite some time, to interrupt a promo duel between Pat McAfee and Austin Theory. Theory had come to the ring to interrupt McAfee to start the show, and McAfee said it would never be Theory’s show because it was the People’s Show. That brought Rock out to the ring to a big pop from the audience.
Rock and Theory went back and forth a bit, with Theory mocking Rock’s catchphrases and Rock leading the audience in an “asshole” chant. The two eventually came to blows before Rock hit Theory with a spinebuster and The People’s Elbow.
Rock was in the Denver area for an appearance on Pat McAfee’s live show in the state.
"Finally, @TheRock has come back to Denver!"
