Thekla Spits on STARDOM Logo On AEW Dynamite, Taro Okada Responds

Thekla declared death to STARDOM on this week’s AEW Dynamite and spit on the company’s logo, prompting a response from STARDOM President Taro Okada. The AEW Women’s World Champion cut a promo on Wednedsay’s episode of Dynamite in which she addressed the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Thekla, who was “fired” from STARDOM before coming to AEW for striking Okada, pointed out to the fans that she was known as “The Idol Killer” for taking out all the top names there. She then said that she was not declaring war on STARDOM, but rather was “declaring death” before climbing a ladder to spit on the STARDOM logo part of the Forbidden Door graphic on the tron. After the segment aired, Taro Okada posted to Twitter to comment. He wrote:

“A vulgar, cowardly, and shameful act.

Unforgivable.”

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door takes place on June 28th from San Jose, California and airs live on PPV. The card thus far is:

* Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland OR Brody King
* Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals: Competitors TBD.
