Tiffany Stratton Reflects On Being Off WrestleMania 42, SummerSlam Being a Homecoming
Tiffany Stratton missed out on this year’s WrestleMania, and she says she hopes it doesn’t happen again. Stratton did not compete at WrestleMania 42, and was instead on the Smackdown before the big PLE. She is now the WWE Women’s United States Champion and is set to compete for the Interim Women’s Championship at SummerSlam in Minnesota this weekend.
Stratton spoke with the Battleground Podcast and was asked about both WrestleMania and SummerSlam. You can see highlights from her comments below:
On What She Promised Herself After Missing WrestleMania:
“What did I promise myself? You know, I am always somebody that tries to control everything that is fully in my control. Like for instance, any segment I have on the show, I always try to make sure I do it to the best of my ability, I’m not half-assing anything. Every time I go and I have a match, I make sure I overdeliver.
“So, I’ve just been controlling what I can control. And if that keeps me off the WrestleMania card, then, you know, my best wasn’t good enough, and back to the drawing board. So, hopefully I never get left off of another WrestleMania again. But, I’m excited to be on SummerSlam… That is also a really amazing opportunity and that’s out second-biggest PLE of the entire year. So I’m super excited for that.”
On If Being In Her Hometown For SummerSlam Adds Pressure To Deliver:
“Yeah, it does add a little bit of pressure. I’m like, ‘Oh, what if like they don’t like me? What if they don’t cheer for me? There’s always like that fear in the back of my head. However, who cares at the end of the day? Like, I’m Tiffany Stratton. They’re buying tickets to come see me. So, I’m super excited to kind of have like my first big homecoming moment in Minnesota.”
