Tiffany Stratton Weighs In On Online Hate Comments: ‘Everyone’s Entitled To Their Opinion’

Tiffany Stratton says that she is receptive to all the feedback that she gets online including comments from people hating on her. The WWE Women’s United States Champion has been no stranger to criticism online, a topic that she’s previously addressed.

Stratton spoke with KFAN for a new interview and talked about why she has an open mind toward the comments that she gets online, regardless of the tone. You can see highlights below:

On Online Feedback:

“Yeah, Pro wrestling is a very opinion-based entertainment, I guess you could say? Down to even the booking and stuff like that. Like, your fate is kind of decided by somebody else; you can’t control whether you win a title or the fans like you or not. Sometimes too, the fans will hijack things. I think the fans are the main reason we have this company, so I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.”

“And sometimes I do see hate comments, and sometimes I think they’re kinda right. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh, you guys have a lot of cool ideas.’ Or like, ‘You’re right, that’s not working, or this is working.’ So I take it, and I kind of take everything into account, whether it’s hate or it’s love. I always think if you believe the good on social media, you have to believe the bad on social media. So I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion”

On Finding a Balance With It:

“You can’t you can’t really let it affect you that much. Because if you do, you’ll just be sitting there reading hate comments all day long. Everyone’s got something to say, you know? It’s just the the day and age that we live in.

“But yeah, everyone’s entitled to their opinion, and wrestling is a very opinion-based business, and that’s okay. We’re here for the fans, and I want to hear their opinions, and I want to take what they have to say into consideration.”
