Tiffany Stratton Wins Women’s United States Championship On WWE Smackdown
We have a new WWE Women’s United States Champion, with Tiffany Stratton winning the title on this week’s WWE Smackdown. Friday night’s episode saw Stratton challenge Giulia for the title in the first match on the show. The two battled for just under nine minutes, and Kiana James tried to aid her ally in retaining the title. However, miscommunication led to Giulia nailing James with a shot when Stratton moved out of the way.
Stratton went for a double stomp but Giulia dodged out of the way to her knee strike. Giulia then went for the Northern Lights Bomb, but Stratton escaped and hit an Alabama Slam followed by the
Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win and title. You can see highlights from the WWE Smackdown match below.
The win marks Stratton’s first reign as WWE Women’s United States Champion; she was WWE Women’s Champion for much of last year. She ends Giulia’s second reign at 112 days.
