TNA Issues Statement on Pulling Moose From MLP Multiverse Event

As previously reported, TNA Wrestling pulled Moose from an appearance at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Multiverse show on April 18, during WrestleMania Week. This led to rumors and concern that TNA might be looking to keep TNA talents off indie wrestling events, where AEW-contracted wrestlers might appear, or they might even be wrestling talents under AEW contract.
In the latest update, PWInsider reports that TNA Wrestling issued a statement on Moose getting pulled from the Multiverse event, claiming it was due to a scheduling conflict.
The statement reads, “TNA wrestlers were pulled due to partner conflicts.” It’s unknown which other wrestlers, besides Moose, were pulled. At least through their official statement, TNA is denying any issue with wrestlers appearing opposite AEW-contracted talent at indie events.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is also reporting a similar statement from TNA President Carlos Silva on the matter, writing, “Carlos Silva tells me that TNA wrestlers have been pulled from some shows due to ‘partner conflicts.'”
As noted, AEW World Champion MJF is scheduled to take on TNA’s Nic Nemeth at CAP Monumental Moment on May 1. Additionally, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater is set to face AEW wrestler Ricoche at Wrestlecon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow. There’s yet to be any word on whether there are any issues with those aforementioned matchups being affected moving forward.
