TNA is reportedly pulling Moose from a WrestleMania weekend show, with more such situations possibly on the way. PWInsider reports that according to multiple sources, Moose was set to compete at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Multiverse event on April 18th. The report notes that after TNA approved the appearance, a change was made and Moose was pulled before MLP could make the announcement.

It is believed that Moose would have been in the ring with talent from another promotion, probably AEW. The site reports that there has been word over the last few days that TNA has changed their mind about allowing contracted talent share the ring with stars contracted to other companies. The report notes that currently Leon Slater is set to face Ricochet at Wrestlecon’s Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow. There’s no word on whether that match will continue, and attempts to solicit comment from Wrestlecon’s Michael Bocicchio have been unsuccessful so far.

According to the site, the story being told is that TNA wouldn’t want talent in the ring with talent from opposing promotions, particularly if such events would stream or be taped. The concern is that someone could conceivably make TNA talent appear in a bad light or lose on rival programming. It is not clear where such a concern comes from, and the site specifically noted that they could not confirm whether it’s something being brought up them by a partner like AMC or WWE.

As the site notes, TNA Impact suffered a drop in total viewers on last week’s show when AEW Collision was head to head for Impact’s first hour. Again, it’s not known if there’s any connection to that. TNA has yet to respond to a request for comment from PWInsider.
