Kevin Nash Thinks CM Punk Was In The Right During AEW Drama

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash was asked whether CM Punk has redeemed himself since returning to WWE, and defended Punk’s side of his AEW falling out while praising the shape he’s in now.

Punk of course had a tumultuous end to his AEW run, going from the infamous post-All Out 2022 brawl with The Elite through his return in June of 2023, and his termination after an altercation with Jack Perry at All In that year. You can check out Nash’s comments below:

On Punk’s AEW Problems:

“I thought when he came in — I thought he was in the right during that AEW thing. I thought he was in the right, so there was never a problem there. I was glad that he and Paul [Triple H] worked things out.”

On Transforming Himself:

“I love the fact that he’s gotten with Jay and has f**king really gotten his body tuned up. So no, he’s — man, we’re all going to grow up until we die, a drop at a time. And you know, Punk is like everybody else. I don’t know what it’s like to be the ‘Indie God’ for the time that he was, and then have to f**king take all that creative ability and all that talent, being the indie god, and then all of a sudden you’re f**king with the man. You’re in Corporate USA.”
