Hello everyone and welcome to 411mania’s LIVE coverage of UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres, I’m Robert Winfree and I’ll be your host. We’re still in the trough between two big UFC events, two weeks ago was the White House card and next week is UFC 329 and international fight week. As for this card we’re back in Azerbaijan with a lot of the usual suspects for this kind of event. That said the main event is a bit of a crossroads one as Rafael Fiziev takes on exciting talent Manuel Torres. It’s not for a title fight or anything but Fiziev hasn’t quite looked the same since his knee injury in the Gamrot fight and if he’s never going to fully recover then Torres starting a real push at his expense is possible. Elsewhere on the card there’s a good flyweight fight with Asu Almabayev taking on Charles Johnson, Ikram Aleiskerov vs. Brunno Ferreira should be fun, Daniil Donchenko is a rising guy in the all violence category, and Bekzat Almakhan vs. Jean Matsumoto has potential. Despite this not being the top tier of road event the UFC can put on this one has very little actual dross on paper, now let’s hope the action delivers.

UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres comes to the world from the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. We’ve got John Gooden, Michael Bisping, and Paul Felder on commentary while Bruce Buffer does the announcing and McKenzie Pavacich serves as our roving reporter. We should be in the regular cage and using the most recent rules but I’ll be sure to update if those assumptions are in error.

Tahir Abdullayev brings a four fight winning streak into his UFC debut, now he gets to make his promotional debut in his home country. Jefferson Nascimento is undefeated coming into his UFC debut, he’s looking to make a good first impression and cool off the crowd as quickly as possible. The odds are close but tilt towards Nascimento at -125 to +105 for Abdullayev.
