Tommaso Ciampa Def. Andrade El Idolo & Captures AEW National Championship on Tonight’s Collision

Tommaso Ciampa finally gets his hands on the AEW National Championship. In the main event of tonight’s Collision, The Psycho Killer battled Andrade El Idolo in a rematch from last month’s WrestleDream pay-per-view.

The closing stretch of the match saw Tommaso Ciampa attempt a rollup on Andrade El Idolo, but the latter kicked out. Andrade hit a back elbow and went for the DM, only for Ciampa to counter it with a back body drop.

The challenger attempted yet another rollup, and this time he was able to secure the pinfall and the National Championship.

Andrade’s reign as AEW National Champion ends at 104 days. He captured the title from Mark Davis at the inaugural Redemption pay-per-view in July.
