As previously reported, AEW has appeared to have ended its licensing agreement with Jazwares to create AEW action figures, as the toy maker reportedly laid off in full its entire AEW team. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan was asked about the company’s status with Jazwares on today’s ROH Supercard of Honor media call (via Fightful).
During the call, Khan said regarding the topic of Jazwares, “I do think it’s possible there could be a change, and that could potentially be a positive change for AEW and the fans.” Khan also noted that the promotion has had a great relationship with Jazwares, but he would not expand on what he said with further details.
AEW has been working with the toymaker since 2020. Since Jazwares started releasing the All Elite Wrestling action figures in 2020, the company has released various sub-lines, including the Vault, Supreme, and Unmatched collections. Jazwares has not commented publicly on the matter, but Khan’s comments appear to suggest the promotion might be going to a new company to produce action figures.
