With WWE counter-programming AEW this weekend with the inaugural Wrestlepalooza event, what about AEW potentially counter-programming WWE with their own show at some point? PWInsider reports that AEW President CEO and Tony Khan was asked about AEW potentially running an event in the United States against WrestleMania 43, which has been announced as being held in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During today’s AEW All Out 2025 media conference call, when asked about the idea, Tony Khan said AEW is planning to hold a “huge show” in Spring 2027. However, he didn’t provide more specific details, and if the event would run opposite WrestleMania 43, which will be the first WrestleMania held outside of North America.
AEW All Out 2025 and WWE Wrestlepalooza are both scheduled for Saturday, September 20. All Out is being held at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, and Wrestlepalooza takes place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The official start time of All Out is 3:00 pm EST, and Wrestlepalooza will start at 7:00 pm EST.
