Tony Khan Announces Return of AEW Dark for One Night Only in Cardiff, Wales

Ahead of tonight’s AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming show, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan came out to the ring to hype up today’s show. However, Tony Khan made a huge announcement, revealing that the defunct AEW Dark is returning for one night only.

Tony Khan announced on AEW Dark during his in-ring segment, “Because I love Cardiff so much, I went to the great executives at Warner Bros. Discovery, the great company that powers the engine that makes AEW possible, and I said to them: Please, it’s the holiday season because there’s hardcore AEW fans in Cardiff, this holiday season, tonight, I want to bring back, for one night only, AEW Dark!”

Khan continued, “And you know what they said? They said yes!” The AEW boss then said the wrestlers would come out to conduct a special one-night-only edition of AEW Dark, which will start after the end of Collision.

Two of AEW’s digital shows, Dark and Dark Elevation, went off the air in April 2023, ahead of the launch of AEW Collision on TNT.

It’s unknown if the special one-night-only edition of AEW Dark will air on television or HBO Max later on, or if it will be made available via AEW’s YouTube channel. For now, it looks to be a one-shot deal. You can view the clip of Khan’s announcement below:
