Tony Khan Provides Update on Nick Wayne & ROH TV Title, Says Wayne Will Be Returning Soon

During an ROH Death Before Dishonor media call, Tony Khan provided an update on reigning ROH World TV Champion Nick Wayne. As noted, Wayne suffered a broken foot that forced him to withdraw from his scheduled matchup at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Killswitch ended up taking his place.

During today’s media call (via Fightful), Tony Khan said that Ring of Honor would not be crowning an interim TV Champion while Nick Wayne is injured. According to Khan, Wayne will be returning soon from the injury.

There’s no timetable yet on when Wayne will be back. He last wrestled on ROH TV in July, defending his title against Willie Mack.
