Trey Miguel should be back in action soon, as he says he has been cleared to make his return to the ring from injury. The TNA star spoke with Local 4 News in Detroit, Michigan where he was talking about his work for Darren McCarty’s new Grind Time Wrestling Academy as a coach. During the conversation, he noted that he has been cleared to make his return to the ring.
“I’ve been out for four months because of it,” Miguel said of the injury. “I was cleared yesterday.”
Miguel has been out of action since TNA Rebellion, where he suffered a fractured patella during his TNA International Championship match against Mustafa Ali. He ended up missing Slammiversary for a second year in a row due to the injury, which he commented on earlier this week on social media.
Miguel, a two-time TNA X Division Champion and former International Champion, is set to work as a coach for beginner-level classes at Grind Time. The wrestling school officially opened on Thursday.
There’s no word on exactly when Miguel will make his return to TNA television. The company held its latest set of tapings this week, covering the fallout from TNA Slammiversary which took place on Sunday.
