Trick Williams Captures WWE US Title at WrestleMania 42: Sunday

WWE has a new United States Champion. Former WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn to win the title at tonight’s WrestleMania 42: Sunday. Williams was joined by his friend, hip-hop star Lil Yachty, for the bout. The finish came after just over seven minutes. Zayn went for the Helluva Kick, but Williams countered with the Trick Shot, scoring the pinfall victory.

Zayn’s second reign as WWE US Champion ends after just 24 days. This marks Trick Williams’ first WrestleMania win in his WWE career and his WrestleMania debut. It’s also his first major singles title win since joining the main roster.
