WWE: Unreal Season 3 was released by Netflix today. During an episode, WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque highlights Bron Breakker, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner and the nephew of Hall of Famer Scott Steiner. According to Triple H, Breakker needs to establish his own identity as a wrestler and be more than “the next Steiner.” Below are some highlights (via Fightful):
Triple H on Bron Breakker
“Bron Breakker. Smart, young, hungry, driven, coachable. Athletically has all the gifts. The challenge for Bron is don’t become just the next Steiner. You have an opportunity to be so much more. Much like The Rock was so much bigger than Rocky Johnson. Much like Roman Reigns is so much bigger than Sika. Those talent didn’t lean on the past. They, in their own way, paid tribute to it while creating their own lane. You don’t wanna be the next Steiner, you want to be the first Bron Breakker.”
His Fear of Labeling a Wrestler as ‘The Future’
“One of the things that I hate doing, but it’s sort of inevitable, is when you say, ‘Oh, this guy’s the future.’ It’s like the kiss of death. You know, it’s so hard to measure up to that. But the great ones find a way.”
Elsewhere during the episode, Triple H discussed Bron Breakker as a potential Royal Rumble winner. However, the WWE creative team ultimately opted against it, fearing that fans were feeling like with Breakker, it was like WWE was “shoving him down your throat.”
WWE: Unreal Season 2 is streaming now on Netflix.
