Update On WWE Plans For Karmen Petrovic

Karmen Petrovic was away from the ring for almost all of April, and a new report has an update on WWE’s plans for her. The WWE NXT & EVOLVE talent was not on TV for all of the month and only worked one match, at the April 25th NXT live event in Citrus Springs, Florida where she lost to Kendal Grey. She appeared just twice on TV in March, defeating Ivy Nile on an episode of WWE Main Event and as part of the EVOLVE Women’s Title Eliminator Gauntlet Match where Wendy Choo won the vacant title.

According to Bodyslam+, Petrovic is set for a match against Nikkita Lyons on EVOLVE sometime in the next few weeks according to sources. Another source told the site that there has been some discussion of Petrovic doing some work in AAA before she slowly transitions back to part of the NXT TV product.

Petrovic made her WWE TV debut in July of 2023 and had a semi-regular presence on NXT through the first half 2025. She had an on-screen romance storyline with Ashante “Thee” Adonis that ended in April of that year. She moved to EVOLVE in August 2025, where she has largely appeared since.

WWE NXT is going through a roster shift at the moment, with several stars having been called to the main roster in the last few months. A number of names made appearances on this week’s NXT taking prominent spots including EVIL, Will Kroos, Lizzy Rain, Tristan Angels and Kam Hendrix.
